Επιστολή συμπαράστασης στην Ισπανική Ένωση Δασοπυροσβεστών (Asociación Nacional de Bomberos Forestales) απέστειλε πριν λίγες ημέρες το Δ.Σ. της ΠΕΕΠΣ στον διαρκή και δίκαιο αγώνα που έχουν ξεκινήσει πάνω από ένα χρόνο για την ικανοποίηση αιτημάτων όπως σύσταση Εθνικού Σώματος Δασοπυρόσβεσης, ομογενοποίηση προσωπικού, εξίσωση επιπέδου γνώσεων εκπαίδευσης, ενιαίο μισθολόγιο κ.α.. Σήμερα στην Ισπανία υπάρχουν 17 διαφορετικά Σώματα Δασοπυρόσβεσης (ένα ανά πολιτική περιφέρεια) όπου η κάθε μια θέτει τα δικά της στάνταρ στον τρόπο εργασίας, στα προσόντα πρόσληψης, εκπαίδευσης και στην μισθοδοσία του προσωπικού δασοπυρόσβεσης. Dear esteemed colleagues,
With this letter we wish to express our warmest solidarity in your long-lasting efforts for the achievement of your fair demands.
Forest fires in southern Europe are a common and gradually increasing phenomenon, with destructive results most of the times for the environment and our society. Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal are the countries which are going through the hardship of forest fires every summer, therefore, it should be dealt with in a systematic and organized way. What all fire and forest-fire services worldwide claim the right for is unified training, staff, modern equipment and improvement, as well as, the increase of the firefighting means so that such unpleasant situations can be dealt with more effectively. A forest fire should be dealt with not only locally but also nationally because the consequences have an effect on the whole country on the levels of the environment, economy, society and tourism.
We, as Greek volunteer firefighters, dealing with serious forest fires all around the country every year, fully acknowledge your goals and your fair demands and we wish you to succeed in your goals.
